Hadith on Orphans

Abu Huraira (ra) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (swt) (p.b.u.h.) said: “I and someone who cares for an orphan, regardless of whether he/she is related to them or a stranger, become like this (index finger and middle finger intertwined) in paradise.“ The narrator, Malik Ibn Anas, raised his index finger and middle finger to demonstrate. (Muslim)

Abu Huraira (ra) reports that the Prophet (s.w.t.) said: „Those who care for widowed women and those in need, Allah (s.w.t.) rewards them as a Mujahid who fights for Allah (s.w.t.)’s sake.“ Abu Huraira added: I think he even said: „This one is like someone who stands and never tires of praying and one who fasts continuously without breaking his fast.“ (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

It is reported from Abu Huraira (ra) that a man complained to the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) about the hardness of his heart, (whereupon the Prophet said to him): “If you want your heart to soften, satisfy the needs of (take care of) and stroke the heads of orphans. „(Ahmad) …………………………………………………………………………………

Every believer (man and woman) who caresses the head of an orphan with his hand with compassion and affection, Allah will record something good for every hair that his hand touches. (Hassana) _______________________________________________________________ ______________
